Rules of the Road

We bought a car this weekend. Not a new one by any means, but great for what we need which is grocery shopping trips and a few small vacations. We took it for its first shopping trip this weekend. It worked like a charm. We do have a garage under our apartment, but the driveway is so steep that no one uses it for their cars, just for bike storage. Fortunately we have a parking lot in front of our place that everyone uses. It is amazing the sense of freedom having the car has already brought to me. While the train lines do go most anywhere you would want, this car will give us a chance to explore more of the Belgian countryside and see some of the national parks and such that train transportation wouldn't allow. We'll keep everyone posted on any trips we might adventure out on.

For anyone curious, it is a Mitsubishi Colt from 1998. It is a gasoline vehicle, so I won't be needing to set up my biodiesel refinery here. :) That would have been nice, but diesel vehicles are more expensive than gasoline, and we are here for only 7-8 more months.
